Ladislao (Laszlo ) José Birò ____(be )an Argentine inventor, who patented the first commercially successful modern ballpoint pen which ______(change )the world's way of writing forever.

They perfected the invention of the ballpoint, which ______(go ) on the market with the name of "birome" (acronym of Biro and Meyre). The invention became very popular and since then has changed the way we write and sold billions of ballpoint pens worldwide.

Ladislao Birò is one of the most brilliant inventors of Argentina. He________(register ) the patents of 30 inventions during his life, including a washing machine, an automatic mechanical gearbox,the ballpoint, a clinical thermograph, a device for obtaining energy from the waves of the sea and an inviolable lock and others.
